Easter Weekday  Color: White    First Reading ACTS 8:1-8 1 And Saul was consenting to his death. And on that day a great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the region of Judea and Sama'ria, except the apostles.   2 Devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him.   3 But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison.   4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.   5 Philip went down to a city of Sama'ria, and proclaimed to them the Christ.   6 And the multitudes with one accord gave heed to what was said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs which he did.   7 For unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, crying with a loud voice; and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.   8 So there was much joy in that city. Responsorial Psalm PSALMS 66:1-7 0 To the choirmaster. A Song. A Psalm.   1 Mak

St. Mark, Evangelist (Feast) Gloria   First Reading 1 PETER 5:5-14 5 Likewise you that are younger be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble."   6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you.   7 Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you.   8 Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.   9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering is required of your brotherhood throughout the world.   10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you.   11 To him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.   12 By Silva'nus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting

Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.   10 Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.   11 I am coming soon; hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.   12 He who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God; never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name

Third Sunday of Easter Gloria – Creed  First Reading ACTS 2:14, 22-33 14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.   22 "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs which God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know --   23 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.   24 But God raised him up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.   25 For David says concerning him, `I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;   26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; moreover my flesh will dwell in hope.   27 For thou wilt not abandon my soul to Hades, nor let thy Holy On

Easter Weekday First Reading ACTS 4:32-37 32 Now the company of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had everything in common.   33 And with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.   34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of what was sold   35 and laid it at the apostles' feet; and distribution was made to each as any had need.   36 Thus Joseph who was surnamed by the apostles Barnabas (which means, Son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus,   37 sold a field which belonged to him, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet. Responsorial Psalm PSALMS 93:1-2, 5 1 The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed, he is girded with strength. Yea, the world is established; it shall never b

Easter Weekday First Reading ACTS 4:23-31 23 When they were released they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them.   24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, "Sovereign Lord, who didst make the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them,   25 who by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, didst say by the Holy Spirit, `Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine vain things?   26 The kings of the earth set themselves in array, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed' --   27 for truly in this city there were gathered together against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,   28 to do whatever thy hand and thy plan had predestined to take place.   29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats, and grant to thy servants to speak thy word with all
